The California Democratic Party is organizing rallies at dozens of hospitals throughout the state on Tuesday, May 13 to show lawmakers that Californians won’t stand for these reckless healthcare cuts.

Congress is proposing devastating cuts to Medicaid that would impact 15 million Californians — including children, people with disabilities, and seniors — just to give tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy. These cuts would hit local hospitals hard. Kern Medical receives 72% of its funding through Medicaid, and losing that support would mean fewer services, longer wait times, and serious consequences for everyone — even those with private insurance.

We need Rep. David Valadao to vote NO on any cuts to Medicaid.

📹 2. CADEM Social Media Project – Your Voice Matters!

Our Central Valley organizer, Casandra Chavez, is asking for help in creating social media content for the California Democratic Party — and she’s asking for your help!
She’s collecting short videos using the script below:

Script:

  1. Hi, my name is [Your Name] from [County in CA]

  2. ONE word to describe Donald Trump’s first 100 days

  3. Why did you choose that word?

  4. What are you doing to fight back?

Example:
Hi, my name is Sarah from Kern County here in California.
If I had to sum up Donald Trump’s first 100 days in one word, it would be “chaotic.”
Why? Because every day brought a new crisis, scandal, or attack on our rights.
That’s why I’m fighting back — I volunteer with the California Democratic Party and help register voters to make sure we turn things around.

Submit your video to Andrea Guzman at [email protected] or text it to (714) 809-9079.
